Peoa in Summit County Utah

Peoa is an unincorporated community in southwestern Summit County, Utah. It lies between Jordanelle and Rockport State Parks and is located along State Route 32. Peoa’s elevation is over 6,000 feet in the Wasatch Range Mountains. There is a large mink farming industry in the community.

Summit County is located in northeastern Utah and is surrounded by eight counties, including two counties from Wyoming. Summit County is part of the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Summit County has a population of about 30,000 residents living in 1,882 square miles of land of which 11 square miles is water. The county is mostly occupied by a mountainous terrain and includes 39 of the highest peaks in Utah. The Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains dominate the landscape of Summit County and are popular attractions for outdoor activities.

Summit County is home to four cities, two towns, five census designated places and three unincorporated communities. The County seat is Coalville and the largest community is Park City, a major ski resort town.
